Cambodia is home to the largest young population in South East Asia. One in five Cambodians is currently between the age of 15 and 24 and almost two thirds of the population are under 30. All of the country's youth are second- and third-generation descendants of perpetrators or victims of the Khmer Rouge.

Many children and young people in Cambodia carry out the kind of work that has become an integral part of their families' daily routines; child labor is in evidence throughout Cambodia.
